GMHBA is offering eligible* members access to no out-of-pocket flu vaccinations at three health services locations in Geelong this winter.
The initiative is available to existing GMHBA members who are also current patients at GMHBA Hub Belmont, Lara Medical Centre or South Barwon Medical Centre, helping remove cost barriers and encourage people to protect themselves ahead of the peak flu season.
Eligible members can make an appointment to receive the vaccinations until 31 July or while stocks last.
GMHBA Health Services Chief Operating Officer Natalie Lanarus said influenza vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to reduce the spread and severity of seasonal illness.
“Each year we see the impact influenza can have on individuals, families and workplaces across our community,” she said.
“By removing out-of-pocket costs for eligible members, we’re making it easier for people to protect their health and the health of those around them.”
The offer is designed to support preventative health and complement the services already provided through GMHBA Medical’s integrated care model in the region.

*Eligible members must hold an active GMHBA policy, be current patients of the practice and have attended an appointment within the last six months. The offer is available to those not eligible for the National Immunisation Program. Vaccine stock is limited.
