Important notice: billing policy update

GMHBA Medical will continue to operate as a private billing practice and will not be transitioning to bulk billing from 1 November 2025, despite the recent changes introduced by the Federal Government.

Private billing ensures we can continue to provide sustainable, high-quality care by covering rising operational costs and enabling longer, more thorough consultations than bulk billing would allow.

Our practices do not bulk-bill, however patients who are pension or healthcare card holders will be offered a reduced fee. 

Account queries should be discussed with practice staff or your doctor prior to your appointment. We will advise of additional expenses for referred services where applicable. Further investigation may be required to obtain information on additional costs. 

Fees are payable at the time of consultation, by cash, EFTPOS, or credit card. Fees are displayed in the waiting room and can be discussed with the practice staff or your doctors. If you are having difficulty paying your fees, please talk to your doctor. Late payments will incur a surcharge of $5 in additional to your consultation fee. 

Workcover charges
Patients are responsible for claiming Workcover charge from employer.

Medicare rebates
The Medicare rebate is refunded instantly into your bank account. There is no need to visit a Medicare office to claim the Medicare rebate.
