Limits explained
Annual limits are the maximum amount you can claim for an extras service or group of services in a calendar year. Depending on your product, annual limits can apply per person or per membership. Included services and the limit that applies per service is outlined in your cover fact sheet which can be found in the member area.
Sub-limits are smaller limits within your annual limit for certain services or groups of services, depending on your level of cover. They may apply to services such as dental, optical, physiotherapy, chiropractic and osteopathy. Once you reach a sub-limit, you can’t claim any more for that service until your limits reset.
GMHBA’s SmartCare Extras offer a flexible per-person annual limit, also known as a Smart Limit, which you can use across eligible services such as general dental, chiro, osteo and physio, based on your individual health needs.
