Fifty-three GMHBA team members have been recognised for their dedication and contribution, as part of the annual tenure awards celebrating the people behind the health of our community.
The awards highlight a combined legacy of experience across clinical, customer-facing and corporate roles, reinforcing the depth of knowledge and commitment that underpins GMHBA’s service to its members and communities.
This year’s recipients include 26 staff celebrating five years of service, 13 marking a decade with the organisation, nine reaching 15 years, and four milestone achievers recognised for 20, 25 and an extraordinary 40 years of service.
Across every milestone is a shared commitment to supporting better health outcomes, whether through direct patient care or behind-the-scenes roles that keep the organisation running.
GMHBA Chief of People and Culture Kate Barlow said the awards were an opportunity to reflect on the impact individuals have made over time, and the important role they play in shaping the organisation’s future.
“Each year of service represents not just time, but contribution, relationships built, care delivered and communities supported,” she said.
“These awards recognise the expertise, compassion and dedication our people bring to their roles every day. It’s this continuity and experience that enables us to keep evolving while staying true to our purpose, helping our members live healthier lives.”
The breadth of award recipients once again reflects GMHBA’s integrated model of care, with clinicians including dentists, nurses, and optometrists recognised alongside employees from corporate and operational teams.
“As we look ahead, it’s our people who will continue to drive innovation and ensure we deliver meaningful health outcomes for our members,” Ms Barlow said.
“We are proud to celebrate these milestones and thank our team members for the role they play in making GMHBA a trusted, community-focused organisation.”
