GMHBA has been named a standout performer in the 2025 WeMoney Health Insurance Awards, winning top honours for its flexible, member-focused hospital cover options.

Among a competitive national field, GMHBA was awarded:

  • Winner: Best for Flexibility – Health Insurance
  • Winner: Best for Silver Hospital Cover – Health Insurance

The WeMoney Health Insurance Awards recognise Australia’s best health insurance products and providers, based on comprehensive analysis of value, features, and member service. Each award is determined using a rigorous scoring system, assessing factors such as coverage quality, pricing, and adaptability on a zero to 10 scale.

GMHBA CEO David Greig said the awards validate the organisation’s commitment to meeting the real needs of members through personalised, high-quality cover.

“As a not-for-profit health insurer, our goal is simple: to put members first. These awards show we’re doing that by delivering flexible, accessible, and high-quality cover that genuinely support members through their health journey,” he said.

The Best for Flexibility award acknowledges GMHBA’s commitment to making health insurance more adaptable to individual needs. This includes features such as product customisation, flexible excess and payment options, ease of switching or modifying cover, and support for families managing multiple policies.

The Best for Silver Hospital Cover award highlights GMHBA’s ability to provide exceptional mid-tier hospital insurance, with strong coverage across common procedures, competitive premiums, trusted provider networks, and family-friendly inclusions.

“We know our members want health cover they can trust and tailor, not just a one-size-fits-all product,” Mr Greig said. “This recognition from WeMoney is a testament to the hard work of our team in designing health insurance policies that put flexibility, affordability, and quality care front and centre.”

As cost-of-living pressures continue to impact Australian households, GMHBA remains focused on delivering high-value, member-first solutions that make private health cover more accessible and meaningful.
