Cardiac Services

We provide a complete range of cardiac medicine including interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, coronary care and cardiac rehabilitation.

We have the latest cardiac equipment on-site to help treat and overcome heart-related conditions and undertake procedures such as angiographies and pacemakers.  We provide the necessary support to ensure to good outcomes through education to help you make better decisions about your own behaviour such as diet or smoking to reduce the risk of future heart problems.

Day Surgery Services

Opposite our hospital on Myers Street, the St John of God Specialist Centre, voted number 1 for day patient satisfaction 2015 & 2016, offers the latest technology for day surgery services across a range of specialties, including ophthalmology, plastic surgery, endoscopy and dental surgery.

Bariatric Services

The St John of God Geelong Hospital Bariatric Centre is designed to support you on your weight loss journey provided by our multi-disciplinary team of experts.  Our expert surgical team use the latest minimally invasive techniques in weight loss surgery to help you recover faster and with less pain compared to open surgery.  Our Allied Health team then assist you to follow healthy eating habits and exercise regularly to achieve optimal results.

Orthopaedic Services

We offer a comprehensive orthopaedic service ensuring all of your orthopaedic care needs from evaluation to rehabilitation. Our multidisciplinary team includes Geelong’s leading orthopaedic surgeons and our efficient and up-to-date theatres and access to forward thinking developments in orthopaedic research and development and well-equipped rehabilitation centre supports the best possible outcomes for your recovery.

Urological Services

Urologists treat organs including the kidneys, adrenal glands, prostate, bladder and urethra.  Our urologists, oncologists, radiologists, registered nurses and allied health professionals work together to put your needs front and centre providing holistic care and comprehensive urology services.

Many urological procedures can be performed as day surgery however, you may also need to stay overnight or for several days after surgery.

Rehabilitation Services

We recognise the importance of making sure your health care is planned around your individual health needs.  Our allied health teams play an important role in delivering this through our rehabilitation services to help you return to health and independence as soon as possible.
