GMHBA premiums are set to change on 1 October 2023

Extras benefits
With GMHBA mix and match extras you have the flexibility to choose from either set benefits, or a percentage based refund.
Set benefits: When you receive treatment for a covered extras service you will receive a set amount back, known as a set benefit.
Percentage back: This gives you the certainty of receiving a percentage of the providers fees back when you claim, up to annual limits. The percentage received depends on the whether you select Top (75%), Mid (65%), or Basic (55%) extras cover. Our range of family health covers and packages with AIA Vitality pay a percentage based refund.
Hospital Excess
The amount of money a member agrees to pay for a hospital stay before GMHBA pay benefits. The excess is per person, calendar year based. Selecting a higher excess will lower the premium. No excess applies for child dependants under 21 on GMHBA’s Gold Hospital, Premium Hospital, Packages with AIA Vitality and Starter, Everyday and Premium Family Packages.
