AIA Vitality Common Questions

AIA Vitality is a personalised, science-backed health and wellbeing program that rewards you for healthy behaviours.

Earn AIA Vitality Points by completing various health assessments that help you understand your current health status and how to improve it like: AIA Vitality Health Review, Mental Wellbeing Assessment, Online Nutrition Assessment, Skin Self Examinations, Dental and Eye checks. The more activities you engage in the more points you accumulate, the higher your AIA Vitality status and the greater the rewards and discounts.

GMHBA with AIA Vitality packages provides members with health insurance and a health and wellbeing program that supports healthy lifestyles and provides members with incentives and rewards as they use the program.

GMHBA with AIA Vitality packages provide access to the AIA Vitality program.

Members who join or switch to any GMHBA hospital or combined cover with AIA Vitality package.

Currently you cannot add AIA Vitality to your existing GMHBA policy (unless it is a GMHBA product with AIA Vitality access).

No. You will need to join GMHBA Health Insurance on an eligible product to access the AIA Vitality program.

Yes, if you have selected a GMHBA with AIA Vitality package. The quote provided will include the cost of AIA Vitality and a 5% Vitality Status discount off your GMHBA health insurance and AIA Vitality program.

The cost of AIA Vitality is in addition to your GMHBA health insurance policy. When packaged with a single or single parent health insurance policy, AIA Vitality costs $10 per month (less applicable discounts) and entitles one eligible adult member to an AIA Vitality membership. When packaged with a couple or family health insurance policy, AIA Vitality costs $20 per month (less applicable discounts) and entitles two eligible adult members to AIA Vitality memberships. Please be aware if you cancel your AIA Vitality membership you will also lose your associated discount on your GMHBA health insurance product.

 

Members can cancel their AIA Vitality subscription at any time.

AIA Vitality and your GMHBA health insurance are two separate products. You can purchase the health insurance product separately at any point.

If you have chosen a GMHBA with AIA Vitality package and want to remove AIA Vitality, you will need to give us a call on 1300 446 422 so we can update your details and cancel your AIA Vitality membership. 

GMHBA with AIA Vitality packages provide members with 5% discount off the cost of the health insurance cover and AIA Vitality premium for as long as you maintain AIA Vitality Silver status or above. If AIA Vitality is removed from the package, the 5% discount will also be removed, and no further discounts apply.

AIA Vitality is a health and wellbeing program and is a separate cost to your health insurance premium.

All members who join one of our packages with AIA Vitality will receive a 5% discount off the health insurance cover and AIA Vitality premium.

 

AIA Vitality is only available on selected GMHBA packages, so if you change your health insurance cover to a product that is not a GMHBA with AIA Vitality package you won’t be able to continue using the AIA Vitality program.

GMHBA provides AIA Vitality with your name, address, email, mobile and date of birth to ensure you can be identified as a new AIA Vitality member and receive the AIA Vitality welcome email so you can get started on the program. No further personal or health information is shared with AIA Vitality by GMHBA. All information is collected and stored in accordance with GMHBA and AIA Vitality Privacy Policy’s https://www.gmhba.com.au/privacy Private health insurance is community rated, meaning insurers are prevented from discriminating between customers based on things like health status, age or claims history.

You should receive an email from AIA Vitality 24 hours after you join or switch to a GMHBA with AIA Vitality package. As this email is auto-generated please check your junk email. If not please call GMHBA on 1300 446 422 so we can check that we have your correct details.

AIA Vitality Points can be earned by participating in various activities to know and improve your health and wellbeing. These points all contribute to your AIA Vitality Status. The more activities you engage in, the more points you earn and the higher your AIA Vitality Status.

An AIA Vitality Status is carried over to the next membership year and benefits and discounts will be based on this Status. Although the Status will be carried over, the points will return to zero at the start of each AIA Vitality membership year and members will need to start earning points to maintain their Status.

Bronze   0 - 9,999 points
Silver     10,000 - 19,999 points
Gold       20,000 - 29,999 points
Platinum 30,000 or more points

12 months from the date of joining AIA Vitality.

Members on a single or single parent policy will be entitled to one Vitality membership. Two covered adult members on a couples or family policy will each be entitled to a Vitality membership.

You must be over 18 years to access the AIA Vitality program.

Yes, you can cancel your AIA Vitality membership and keep your health insurance cover. If you cancel your AIA Vitality membership, you might also like to consider our other health insurance products. You can ask for a cover review at any time and we will be happy to assist.

If a member chooses to suspend their health insurance policy the AIA Vitality membership will be terminated and a new AIA Vitality membership will need to be established after the suspension period ends.
