This cover may suit you if:
- You only claim extras occasionally
- You don’t need cover for lots of different services
- You don’t expect to need high benefits and annual limits
GMHBA’s basic extras provides cost effective “just in case” cover for those that don’t claim on extras services frequently. Basic benefits and lower limits keep the cost down, whilst still giving great value benefits when you do claim. Why pay for a higher cover with services you won’t use and limits that you're unlikely to reach?
At GMHBA we believe that great value means getting the most back for your money, whilst not paying for extra services and options that you don't expect to use. We've developed our covers to suit many common lifestages, so that singles, couples, families and single parents can all find great value health insurance.

Connect Rewards Plus
Take out combined hospital and extras cover, excluding Fit Packages, to enjoy the extra benefits of GMHBA’s member loyalty program, Connect Rewards Plus.
The program allows members to accumulate Connect Reward dollars year on year.
The amount of dollars you receive depends on how long you have been a GMHBA member and your level of hospital cover. So the longer you have been with us the more rewards dollars you will receive.
You can then use your Connect Reward dollars to claim on on services not covered, or to reduce, or eliminate out of pocket expenses.
For more information, see the Connect Rewards Plus page
Waiting periods apply to all GMHBA's Extras covers. Please read the Waiting Periods page for a general overview. For more detailed information you should read the Waiting Periods and Pre-existing Conditions section of Important Information in the GMHBA Member Guide.
