As regional Australia’s leading health fund, we receive numerous requests for support of fund raising projects and sponsorships.

When assessing a submission for sponsorship GMHBA will take into account the overall benefits to our members, as well as how closely our marketing and business objectives can be met in community and regional markets by utilising activities within the sponsorship submission.

Being not for profit and member based, we pride ourselves on responsible fund management.

With an understanding of our commitment to responsible fund management, those seeking sponsorship support should ensure their submission satisfies the following three-way criteria:

1. Is it a community based sponsorship?

Our focus is growing membership by supporting the health of the communities we serve. Would this request assist GMHBA to achieve this goal?

2. Is it good value to our members?

Would our members see added value in the fund supporting the request or would our members receive added value from the association you are seeking such as increased membership or increased efficiency?

3. Is it proactive in making our members well?

We are serious about maintaining our Members well-being and many initiatives are underway that will ensure our Members are aware of their health status and what activities they should undertake to improve their wellness.

Adoption of this simple three-way approach will ensure your promotional focus remains consistent, unambiguous and objective as ours. It will certainly assist us in our mission of providing our Members with access to quality private health care.
