Switching is easy
Switching to GMHBA from another health fund may be easier that you think... we’ll be happy to handle most of the paper work, including contacting your current health provider.
You won’t re-serve any waiting periods
Switch to us within 30 days of leaving your current fund and you won’t have to re-serve any waiting periods. That means that you can continue to claim for anything that you were already covered for with your previous fund.
Transfer Certificates
To transfer funds and avoid re-serving our waiting periods you need to provide a Transfer Certificate. You can either contact your fund and ask for a Transfer Certificate when you terminate your cover or you can provide us with your previous funds details on your application form and we will contact the fund on your behalf to terminate your cover and obtain a copy of the Transfer Certificate.
